Mindy Bush is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Journalism with a concentration in Photojournalism. During her college career, Mindy captured Illini football, basketball and other athletic events, such as rodeo and martial arts.

In the five years following graduation, Mindy traveled the United States, training software and creating adult learning programs before she moved into project management, which ultimately afforded her more time behind the lens. She concentrates primarily in the MMA arena, working with local fighters and promoters, as well as doing freelance work for the Commercial Appeal, but provides photography services for an array of other venues.
