Mindy Bush is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a Bachelor's of Science in Journalism with a concentration in Photojournalism. During her college career, Mindy captured Illini football, basketball and other athletic events, such as rodeo and martial arts.

In years following graduation, Mindy moved to Memphis, TN, and traveled the United States, training software and creating adult learning programs before she moved into project management, which ultimately afforded her more time behind the lens.

After experimenting with an array of styles and venues, Mindy realized that her talents are best displayed in child and family photography, as well as engagements and wedding photography. Because she has found that the real essence of people is where true beauty lies, her work is not frequently posed. Instead, she shoots primarily in photojournalistic style to capture the real moments.
